Looks good and well done. My personal taste makes me side with the stock gold bow tie though. To me the gold bow tie just gives it that nostalgic feel.

Ok, a couple things...if you are thinking about buying them for $100, you are CRAZY! How much did I spend on this you may ask? $8!! yes, thats it.

But, I know I've read some people are taking the entire gold bowtie off and putting a solid new one in there...I did not do that. It's just a vinyl sticker, good quality, thats attaches great over the gold. I did it myself, took 5 minutes - it does take patience to get it perfectly to fit, but its not that hard at all to install (although i did have Purdue Pete help! haha)

Yea, it may EVENTUALLY wear out a bit over time, but hey, its $8 so I'll just get a new one!

And I got them on Ebay - you can get a lot of cool stuff there, although some is not the best quality but I do like this red bowtie.

Here's the link:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWNX%3AIT

and you can get it in any color!!

Hope this helps!

There is no way I would chance putting it on myself, though! I forget who exactly said they were $100, but I think it was for both and it was more involved than a sticker...

It looks great, I am doing the same thing with my IOM, it was the logical choice, what I think was a "no brainer".

I'm struggling with the same issue - to go black or red. I actually think I'm going to go red on the front, to contract with the black grill and black on the back to contrast with the red. Thoughts??? Yeah, I know they're too different colors, but you'll never see them together.
