Convertible Sports Bar and Wind Deflector Opinions

I am seriously considering buying the combo. I think it looks great. Just curious what my fellow brother and sister Camaro5 members think about these items? I welcome any photos of others who have installed one or both of these.

Sports bar definatly, I have a CDI one but the revolutions are pretty much the same it seems unless your looking for a specific color one offers the other doesnt.

Im on the fence on the windrestrictor, looks cool but havent seen one in person so havent decided completely.

on one hand its a cool addition, on the other it does have the two huge brackets showing, be better if they had some kind of cover to match the car interior better, and has no curves at all from the pics, just straight piece of glass.

I bought the GM windscreen. I just wish I would have bought it right away when I got my car. It can be left in place top up or down. And it folds down and up with one hand while sitting in the driver seat. Removes in like two seconds incase you have rear seat passengers.

I'm on the fence about a sport bar, they look great but the idea of losing the visibility out of the quarter windows with the top up bothers me.

So beside the Revolution Bar, another one is sold by CDI Plus CDC sells one too. So between these three companys, is the DESIGN the same. I know the price is not.

you have visibility that matters through the quarter's?

Actually the only thing I ever really saw through them was traffic coming from the oposite side when backing up, and you can still see through about half the window so it doesnt stop you from seeing cross traffic. Not a whole lot of change as far as visibility through the back windows in my opinion.

As for cost, theres several vendors selling the different sports bars on here, just do a search and youll find the threads....I actually got mine off Ebay from one of the vendors, for somereason it was slightly less on ebay than they were selling on here....go figure.

I haven't seen/heard of the CDI before this.... but there's a big difference in the look of the CDC vs the Revo. CDC is basically the same generic design as for the Mustangs... whereas the Revo is contoured significantly more and appears designed for the car. Plus the matching synthetic leather and stitching as well as optional brake light. I'm VERY glad I went with the revo

Just my opinion (put down the rocks...)

I like the concept of each, but not at the same time. I've seen cars with both from behind, and with the windshield frame, the sports bar, and the glass wind restrictor, there's a whole lot of different shapes and angles going on. It just looks too busy to me.
The other issue I have is, neither does what it was conceived to do. The Wind Restrictor works great at speed for someone sitting in the back seat, but absolutely nothing for the driver or front passenger. It's all pretty much for show (and it does look awesome!).
I spoke to the Revolution folks several times while the sports bar was being developed. The third brake light is pointless in my opinion (why have it when the top is up?). It's especially annoying to passengers in the back seat at night. If they had spent the time to add a dome light in the center, and speaker cavities in the sides, it would actually serve a functional purpose. Without being a true safety device (roll bar), it's just another very expensive piece of bling.
Both look great, I just wish either one served a purpose for the driver, rather than just stick up out of the car...

OK, you can pick the rocks back up...

I would be for the revolution bar if it didnt have the third brake light, and like you said a dome light would be awsome....

Brake light is optional on the Revo. I believe there's an extra charge for it as well. Wasn't my taste either... so I didn't pay the extra for it.
