CAM Motion LS3 Stage 2

Anybody running this cam? What rpm idle? What's the lope like? Did you replace anything else when you installed it? Thanks

I've always wanted to ask Kip @ Cam Motion, what is the point of those off-the shelf cams the OP speaks of, when everybody goes custom from Cam Motion anyways, lol.

Or do they ?

Well, I did anyways.

OP, best bet is to call him up, or PM to start.

I am running the stage three with .010 on the intake side, it idles at 950, and the LSA being 114+4 seems a lot like the 112 I had before it, the end numbers are low for it compared to a .639/.623 235/239 112 LSA cam I used to have but I am trying to play it safer with lower duration, more wide LSA and of course lower lift. its .613/.578 with 228/ 235 114 +4 ( I did not know it was +4 until I got it), I would say a more aggressive cam for you would net you a lot more numbers.... See my post on dyno results, I went wider LSA to broaden the torque curve and more low end grunt...what my 428 does anyway, kind of wish I had gone bigger again but hey..I have to daily drive. Lope s a little less noticeable than the TSP cam, drivability is like the TSP cam gotta go up to 1300 to avoid surge.....

Contacted Kip. Based on my mods ( shorty hdrs, HF Cats, CAI, PTB, 3:91 rear) and my driving mode ( not a DD, just around town driving & cruzing, no racing) and what I'm looking for ( noticeable idle lope, idles no more than 800 and gives me low end giddyup) here's what Kip suggested: 216/603/224/595/116+4

Slightly bigger than the one he made for me. You will be happy with the end results. Just make sure you find a quality tuner.
