Spiediefest Car Show
I'm still painting so can't make it to CanTech, but anyone interested in going to Spiediefest at Otsiningo Park in Binghamton Sunday August 5th? $20 is a little steep but if you want to pre-reg in time you get a t-shirt. A really good venue with lots of vendors and great food.

Hey Mike,
No, given the lack of interest and participation on here lately I didn't see the point for only 3-4 cars to show up. Part of that is also due to a weekend ticket as of Aug 1st is $80 (insane) plus likely another $50 to get in the infield. I would have liked to have gone, but I guess I'll be sitting this one out.

Anyone with any starter issues on any gen5 , it is caused from heat soak typically using long tube headers but can also do same from stock down pipes also. I received no warnings and mine just gave one light click when trying to start the car. I put a new starter in and added a heat blanket and added a direct ground from underbody to one large bolt also so power is never questioned. Car started right up strong and does so evertime now. My findings are that it’s not really the starter that burns out and is actually the starter soildnoid that fry’s because it sits on top of the starter and when the car is shut off the heat collects directly in the pocket of the starter. I’m very confident that the heat blanket will stop this from happening again. Putting this out there so you guys may wanna do preventative maintenance by adding a starter heat wrap before you burn the unit out.
