CLutch Brands..
It's time to start thinking about clutch replacement. I had a centerforce in my ole 97LT4 no issues ever,.. now my 2010 needs a clutch and wonder what to get.
Not Sure I can afford a 1300 Mcloud right now... but can yall list some brands with Part numbers and pricing that would work on 800 flywheel HP. Thanks |

It takes a lot of money to make 800hp.Its going to take a very good clutch to hold it and last.If you search this forum you will find many many members that are saying that it would have been a lot cheaper to buy the Street Slayer from the start. The Street Slayer will save you the most in the long run and it is a clutch designed for your heavy 5th gen.If we can help you out give us a call, any time .

Just bare in mind that if you beef up the clutch and use drag radials then on hard launch's you will find the next weakest link in the drive line . A chain is only as strong as it's weakest link .

no I ain't into drag racing with slicks.. I like to take care of business on the hwy and make exotics look bad! took out Lambo last week but had a problem with a superlegera from clutch slipping this weekend.
what is needed to make a ZR1 clutch work.. I have a lift so I don't care about doing every year.. or so. |

I have to say bite the bullet and get a street slayer... I had a twin disc prior to my slayer and it was a certified POS... I sent it back for factory service after commenting to them and it was marginally better... It was an on/off switch...
ZR1 clutch will eat throwout bearings and slave cylinders... I have to say going with a lesser clutch will cost you in the long run... My Triple disc slayer had incredibly friendly street manners, almost stock feel, and would hold 1400 ft/lbs with no problem. I just sold it as a rebuilt piece from the factory and it looks brand new... I sold it to a guy making 1000 plus rwhp... I graduated to the quad disc and can't wait to try it out... Feel free to call me a fan, but I'm convinced, sold, and will not ever run anything else... Here is an example of the holding force... Bear in mind this is a 300 M input shaft, with a 4000 plus lb car... 300M is 300,000 pound tensile strength... This is the result of a 6,000 rpm launch and dead hooking... For a clutch to feel this good and hook this strong is simply amazing... I promise you'll love it and Thomas stands behind it absolutely... Contact him at Hendrix Engineering... Or pm him here on Canaro5. H-E is the user name... He's right up there...^^^^
