The recall on the key fob is to remove the key from the remote buttons. Apparently, someone hit the key with their knee and it turned off the car at highway speed...or something. I bought my car used in 2015 back in the US and they removed the blade from the fob. Not a big deal for me since the previous owner had a remote start installed which came with new, smaller key fobs.
