Dealing with this crap in California isn't worth having certain things on the car. I will keep the all the tint off the car for good (I have the damn front and passenger window down at car shows anyhow, so tint isn't necessary), and I the front license plate I have on the car with strong 3M adhesive, as it's the top flight adhesive front plate kit. Now, the modified exhaust thing....I'll just keep quieting that thing down until I pass the legal sound limit. Right now, it's not bad at all. There are freaking semi-trucks louder than mine, and motorcycles. Ugh

What a pain! Thats why I dont do shit in this state. Air intake is illegal though I have one but I have ohad on all my cars . Outlaw's maybe to loud but I putt by cops anyway.

Thanks man. I really hope all the stuff with your sidemarkers go alright. The crap we have to put up with in terms of mods in this state is amazing sometimes.

Good idea! I will buy a meter at radio shack tomorrow. It will at least give me a general idea of what it will be. The bad thing is that their test is so damn specific...a certain angle from the cars exhaust tip, at a certain height, distance, etc. Freakin' A man.

Tell me about it. It can really be just irratating dealing with all of it. That's why I'll remove what I need to just to eliminate getting tickets all the time for these visual/sound mods. I need to find the quietest damn mufflers on the market besides stock one's. They are just to large and ugly to keep under the car. I will add them to pass if need be, but I'd rather have a smaller quslity aftermarket muffler that's quiet and flows well. Magnaflow is supposed to be quiet as all hell with their mufflers. I'm not sure if that's the way they are designed, or if it's the packing. I could probably even go with the mufflers that are used in the American Thunder Catback. When I put the turbo on and had those mufflers, my car was REALLY quiet. It was too quiet, so that's why I went with the outlaw. The turbo muffles the sound as it is, so even my outlaw isn't nearly as bad as someone's NA car with the outlaw catback on it.
