NOT UNTIL 2010?!!!

I just received a call about the Camaro from my local dealership and they said they will get 2 different models from Chevy in Feburary 2009. But they said that I will not be able to buy them until 2010?! Is this true?! TELL ME IT'S NOT! I was planning to buy it March '09.

Yep. Despite the many threads we've had on this same subject I appreciate camaro1's diplomatic response.

That may be a little optimistic unless you've been on a list for a while. However, I guess it would also depend on the dealer and how productive they are. You shouldn't have to wait until 2010 though

I went to a chevy dealer yesterday to buy a battery and was chatting with the guy telling him i was waiting till spring for the new camaro to finally change my car and he told me they just heard this week that it was pushed back to 2010.

I told him no way argued a little with him about all the info already released on the net and he took me to see the manager and he confirmed to me that they wont be getting it till spring 2010.

Guess ill start looking at another dealership cause this one was clueless

It would have to be some kind of major problem with a delay of that long.. I really could see them announce a month or two but a whole year??? I doubt it seriously...

Don't believe a thing they tell you, until fbodfather says it is true. Those dealerships must be kinda wacked out in the head. Dont believe 'em

I think it's BS. There is no better resource than this forum. Not even Chevy's website.

At least the first run should be able to start with the LS because it's the fewest amounts of parts required from suppliers. I doubt the cheap steelies are gonna be hard to not have 1000's of them by Feb if not already.

New Camaro allotments are based on 2002 Camaro sales.

Can/Will a dealership tell you how many they sold in 2002? Or is there any way of finding this out online?
