where in MD bro? options are to have it professionally rebuilt using better internal components or find one already in that condition. I think rhino79 had one fer sale..well built. Factory new is $$$ and you will still have the same probs down the road.

have/did you add an aux trans fluid cooler? good insurance....good luck!

BTW - or convert to a T-400!

Savage. Ok yeah I might get it built plus I want to keep it auto. You know I was never sure did our cars come with a separate trans cooler. I know for sure its hooked up to the radiator. 136k miles on the car and drove it like I stole it everyday lol

you'll be completely fine with a stock 6l80. no need to get a built one for cam only. just throw a converter and auxiliary cooler in it while you've got it out and you're golden for another 100k +

LULZ...who leaves their cars alone for long once the moddin begins...and fer just a little more for some better clutches and what ever else the trans could use beefing up IMHO would be monies well spent...

Learned long ago don't do a job half a$$ed cause it'll come back and bite you in the other cheek!

Good luck OP...

that's like saying why stop there... 4l80 swap it( which I have done and broke...). stock 6l80s will hold 650whp all day long. Proven.
