2012 Camaro ss airfilter surprise

So I recently bought this Camaro ss back in December of 2017 I'm the second owner the vehicle has 43,632 mi. I got curious and removed the air filter and there is green pellets on the bottom of the air filter box are they supposed to be there?

You had a mouse inside there. Hey love to make nests in cars. My dad bought a Vette year’s ago with super low miles. There was about 10lbs of dog food inside the air cleaner assembly!!! Lucky it didn’t chew on anything in the car!!!!

Put some traps out near where you park. My 240Z stayed pest free for 9 years, I checked it out a few months ago after only leaving it alone for a few weeks and it was full of mouse droppings and smelled awful. The car went from clean to disgusting in a matter of weeks. Don't get complacent like I did. I now have 12 traps and about 5 bait blocks in that car. :(

Keep in mind a series one 240Z is worth the same as my Camaro and only appreciating in value... You got lucky this is your only issue.

What a surprise that is hilarious! Yes if you don’t have one install a drop in K&N air filter.

Paper filters flow better than K&N filters, simple as that. Over oil a K&N after cleaning and you will replace your air flow sensor soon.

K&N filters are good for carbureted engines running in very dusty conditions. On new injected engines with mass air flow sensors, especially hot wire air flow sensors a K&N may not be your best choice.

Your Results May Vary.

I've always wondered if K&N's really make much of a difference in a stock housing or not? My 95' had one in there, but I really couldn't say I noticed a difference on a 3.4 liter V6, haha. I'm assuming a true cold air would be the best bet?

A couple years ago I found about a gallon of acorns within my driver's side wheel well. Removed the wheel well, cleaned it up, found where the squirrel was getting into my garage, sealed it up with expanding foam, no more issues.
