Getting closer to owning a ZL1
Long time lurker on here, getting close to pulling the trigger on a '13 ZL1. I will be losing my '87 GN to get this car, unfortunately not enough space to keep both.
Since the '13's are still under power train warranty, it seems the only major issue is a supercharger recall. Is that correct? It will have MyLink which I am not thrilled about, but the car has all the other options I want (color, manual, moonroof, wheels). Have the bugs been worked out of these yet with updates? Or are they still glitchy? |

They are very bullet proof. I just traded my 13 for a 17 SS and I would like to have both. You won't be disappointed.

Shoot me a private message on the GN...I would love to have one, depending on your deal we may be able to work something out...What's the mileage on the ZL1 you're getting and does it have navigation???

ZL1 has 8k miles on it, I don't think it has Nav.
Just ran an AutoCheck on it and now a bit concerned, as this car has already had 3 previous owners! That's crazy with only 8k miles on it and already gone thru that many hands in 3 years. |

ZL1's are notorious for changing hands. I am unsure if it is because of power or price of tires and brakes for maintenance or gas consumption.
I for one am in love with the car from the looks to the suspension to the control & power without riding on the ground like a Corvette. You will enjoy a 2013, they are well engineered, just look at the differential and suspension. I would look for one with one owner and no modifications, it is less likely to be beaten or raced. Tires are expensive and do not last long. Good luck. |

The supercharger recall is good for 10 years I think, it's a lot longer than the standard 5 year powertrain warranty that's for sure.

Send me the VIN and I can run it through the GM warranty system to see what has been worked on.

If you send me the VIN I can use my dealership software to check up on value, owners, accidents, warranty, insurance claims, and dealer noted problems, if there are any.

Found a different car and put a deposit down! You were right about these things changing hands fast. Every low mile car had multiple owners already, that's nuts.
I settled on a like new 2-owner 2013 stick shift with only 3k miles. Nicely optioned with moonroof, polished wheels and exposed carbon fiber hood. I think I got a fair deal at $37k flat. |
