My TSP build is tuned now. Im happy fo sho!!
My journey from just wanting a fun street car to wanting a competitive stock bottom end car is near completion. I started out with a good running heads and cam LS3 M6 that consisted of my ported heads and BTR3 cam making 478/447 to the wheels to going to racing in the CamaroFest Modified class with a th400 and 8" PTC 5000rpm stall making 437/388 at the wheels. Seeing how alot of guys are upping their game this year I needed to do the same. Jason Mangum and I talked over the new cam profiles and the new PRC 13* cylinder heads I had to take the bait. Well needless to say I reeled in a big catch. 479/409 at the wheels. Thats what I made HP wise when I was manual. I have dyno graphs comparing before and after th400 and before and after manual with old build vs th400/8" stall with new build. All testing is with 93 octane pump gas with Scott Culbert on the laptop.

Went up to Gen3Performance to get my tuning done for my new TSP heads and cam build finished up. Had 152 miles on the engine when it was on the dyno and 100 of that was driving it up there lol.*
Had a local machine shop Howtons Automotive Machine freshened the stock bottom end. New rings, bearings and 1 new piston are all I replaced. Original piston had a bad skirt.* Cam is a custom grind Jason Mangum done up for me. Im very pleased with the outcome even with the few issues Ive had with putting it all back together. Scott Culbert done the tuning. Im going to go back and get the E85 tune done on it and it will be finished. Very nice build Bo, when you switch to E-85 what are doing for a fuel delivery? Asking more for my information as I am on the fence about options and what is all out there.

Update on my SS
Sold the mid runner FAST and bought the Edelbrock Pro Flo XT LS3 manifold. Clears the stock hood but still needs cutting the firewall. The passenger wiper however is easily modded to work. Gained 19rwhp and revved another 300rpm so it is on par with the Holley High Ram. |
