I saw a new ZLE at Talladega last October for the NASCAR cup race that was Rally Green in the vendor/merchandise area outside the track before the race started. It was from Hendrick Chevrolet in North Carolina that was on display for people to see and get in. What killed me was one of the guys with the car would start it up and rev it at the request of people looking at it. Guess some folks there didn’t know what model of Camaro it was or even what brand of car it was. Not gearheads like us!

I was really impressed with the color and still am! Wish Chevy hadn’t discontinued it!

Some of you guys asked for some info.

My trade was an 18 ZL1 with and A10 and PDR. New tires and front brakes with 13k mileage. It was super super clean.

It was rear ended and had 3k worth of damage last year. There's a car fax on it.

I got 45k on the trade. (had some equity in it as well as I paid more then the payment due but its really just my money still.)

The new car was sticker at 75,320 and with the dealer tint and clear protection on the door edges inside the door handles and on the front of the quarter panels it came to 76k and change.

I paid 68,450 for the car.

I got and extended warranty for 2 more years for a 5/50 bumper to bumper for 1200 and paid 360 for the tire and wheel insurance.

I put a few bucks down and im at the same payment as the other car.

I think the dealer and I both got what we wanted.

BTW my mom loves it and shes 78. She wasnt a fan of the white one I had but really likes this car wing and all.

She is going to use it next weekend and Ill use my parents C7. She didnt care what it was or the power or any of that. I said what if people ask you about it? She said she'd say she didnt know ha ha. Which I think is awesome lol.

Thanks for the info. Congrats, you did very well- scored better than employee pricing with a trade. Bummer that Chevy discontinued RG after only one year. :(

Best I could do yesterday was supplier ($72), which unfortunately included their BS ‘exterior protection’ accessory at $699. That was after a 2.5hr drive and being told “manager ready to do a deal” over the phone.

I might’ve just done the deal since RG is no longer available, but the gimmick add-on bothered me.

They got me one time with that. I had my wife and didn’t ask to see itemized list before showing up. Never again. Now I go solo for the purchase and ask for itemized list before I show up. Good lesson learned for me.

Congrats on the car. As long as you like the deal then you got a great deal I bet your mom likes the fact the Z is higher than the C7 as it is easier to get in and out of.

Any BS accessory the dealer puts on, I make them take it off! Try and get you on that interior/exterior paint and upholstery protection.

Thanks so much guys appreciate all the compliments.

The dealer prep was horrible so I spent the day doing a nice cleanup/polish and seal.

Ill be out the track after its broken in. I went with Brembo HTC 64 this time since I cant get SRF from Castrol anymore that I can find.

Ill do the oil at 500 and the oil rear end and brake fluid at 1500.

Heres some pics of it after I got done with it. Really a great color. Its got alot of personality.

Ill probably put expel on the front end like I did with my white one as well.
