Just ordered mine in Silver Ice Metallic. Will see what my painter will want to fill the holes otherwise I will just use the plugs. Now to get my hood painted satin black and the mods will almost be done....

Love mine -- stock GM with brake lights working (Ofer @ Gen5DIY has a harness that sets it up)

Wow that harness (if I'm reading it correctly) is $50 http://www.gen5diy.com/Camaro/PnP_ha...light-harness/

I was going to do the wiring like this thread http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=377421

Or just completely black out the spoiler brake light and not connect it, if I can see the original 3rd brake light well enough to not get hassled by cops (if they even care)

I just cut the 3rd brake wire and used wire nuts and taped it up. No need for a harness. It's like wiring a ceiling fan. The spoiler brake light is sharp, and there is no need for two 3rd brake lights...LOL

I used the harness as I was lazy. Agreed if you do it yourself. It plugged in real easy, so I went with that. For me, it made sense...

I just made my purchase on the same spoiler. Will post some pics when done. I got a great idea as to how I plan on hiding the holes, I won't post anything until I know it works.

I'll wire up the light without using the harness, splicing is easiest been doing it for years to wire trailer plugs, it's only one light instead of several lights.

Thanks for that hammdo and Clarkkent. I'm gonna order one. 4 brake lights are better than 3

Well, I actually had a new truck lid painted and marked for the holes to be drilled. I made a template for the rest just to be sure. Others have filled the holes until a body shop can redo it. You can also make a small plate to fit in the area. I was going to have a body shop fill it in, but had Garys custom get new trunk for me so I didn't have to wait.

For me, the harness was a simple plug n play. I've done the whole solder et al, just got lazier over the years. Yep 4 are awesome!

Here is where I did the install

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...385577&page=24 and continues on next page...
