Happened to me about a year ago. Insurance will get you fixed up, but it sucks paying the deductible for someone else being an asshole. Good luck on the repairs!

That really stinks... this is why I am afraid to drive mine to work. Too many inconsiderate, or just flat out jerks out there that have to ding, dent, or key something they cannot get on their own.

Looks more like a shopping cart hit it. The gauge is pretty inexplicable, but the scraping is consistent with a runaway cart. You can also tell there was a collision based on how the side fender has been bent away from the bumper.

The comments about the wheel condition are either intended to insult the driver, or you're about as dumb as a rock. Both are bad, cut it out.

Take it easy tough guy! It was intended to make light of an inexcusable and horrible situation. Take your keyboard muscles elsewhere. Good luck OP.

unless the wheel had curb rash before this, i would have to think someone hit a curb and something that was on that curb which made the puncture and the scratch down the side of the car.

Car has had curb rash since I bought it, I've only had it 4 months so it hasn't been a priority. Not sure how a curb would leave 2 individual lines cut down to the metal across the car but no body damage. Looks like the stabbed it hard with something and then hit it with something sharp in the bumper spot before proceeding to run it down the body a couple times. Boxcutter, knife idk

That was no box cutter, it was a knife judging from the puncture. World is full of assholes and some take it out on nice cars

I feel for ya. Today is day 16 in the shop for my car, it was keyed on the 27th of June, much less severely than yours, T-F

Wow that sucks. definitely looks like a metal object or knife that was used. No shopping cart would puncture the car like that

yea, no way it's a cart. carts don't go up and down nor do they continue across the vehicle... in multiple locations no less. not to mention completely cut into the urethane bumper.

That scratch is not consistent with a shopping cart because unless shopping carts are low enough to clear the side mirror those scratches would stop once it hits the mirror. And that does appear to be a deep looking scratch on the hood!

Anyway I would recommend aiming for spots between nice expensive cars so jealous low life's don't perform such a VICIOUS crime!

Yeah I'm not really happy about it, I guess that's what insurance is for. So what do they do in this case? Does that all have to be repainted and the bumper replaced? Can the bumper be repaired and spot painted?
