Gen5 ZL1 vs 19 1LE 1/4 Mile
I currently have a 2013 ZL1 and I am on the fence about getting a 2019 1LE in orange crush. After test driving the 1LE I am not seeing how the gen 6 is faster. Its nice and updated but it does not put the power down like a ZL1. Just curious on everyone's thoughts and if you are seeing 1LEs taking down gen 5 ZL1s at the strip?

Are you referring to a gen 6 SS/1LE? If so that makes sense th ZL1 feels faster because the G5 ZL1 still has 125 crank hp over the gen 6 SS.

Everything you read about the gen 6 SS/1LE states how much better it is and that its on pace with the gen 5 ZL1 in the 1/4 mile, and how it beats a Z28 on the track. Although I will admit the 1LE is a pretty nice car.....but I'm just not seeing it with 125 less power and no Supercharger. My ZL1 pulls like a freight train and the 1LE I test drove doesn't seem like its even in the same league as my car. Just curious if any gen 5 ZL1s have been beat by the new 1LE?

I have beat 5th gen ZL1 at the track in my stock 6TH gen Camaro SS...12.08 to a 12.20 but the ZL1 did out MPH me.

No we should still get them at the quarter. Off the line it will be close, however.

6th gens are a tad over 200 lbs lighter. A base ss 6th gen vs. a ZL1 5th gen of course will have a greater weight difference, I'd say 300-330 lbs. difference. They are lighter but not as much as one would think. 6th gens are fast though!
