Delivery Day Pics

Finally the day came when I got to take delivery of my 2014 ZL1 BRM Auto w/Recaro seats.

Unfortunately we had freezing rain and snow showers during the night so thought the best thing to do was to load her up on a trailer for the trip home. I've only put .4 miles of the 12.4 miles that is on the odometer at this point. Cannot wait for the road to clear up and the temps to come up.

She made Showroom status:

Loaded and ready to go to her new home:

How did you get that car on the U-haul auto transport? Did you have to make any adjustments? I'm dying to know.

Sweet....that's my Tata's twin sister. Congrats on the delivery; Its a special feeling! Luckily my dealer was just 7 miles from my garage. I was wondering what would've happened if it snowed, as I might have needed to trailer my car home as well.

We used two boards (2 x 6) on the end of the ramps to lift the front end going up the ramps and had to have the trailer jacked up in the front to get it on. Then to get it off we had to lift the front end manually, because of the angle of the driveway we could not jack the front of the trailer up enough to get the angle needed to clear the front end and of course the boards at the end of the ramps. All in all easier to load than we thought it would be.

Yes!!! My dealer is about 10 miles from my home, but the roads when we left to go pick her up were ice covered. By the time we were done at the dealership the roads were wet and had lots of sand on them. Still had to clean her up from the spray even though we never went over 35 miles an hour bringing her home. I haven't figured out a name for her yet.

It snowed 4 days before my delivery date, yet the snow fall was minor and for some reason the roads were clear. It was dicey taking mine home because the forecast called for snow on the next day. At any rate my car may be home bound until the spring or if we are lucky in NY and the snow manages to stay away.
