My thoughts exactly, ZL1.R small production #s and six figure ticket IMO

Love the looks and potential on this new Z/28 / ZL1. My only question is will there be 6M and 10 speed auto option.

People aren't buying six figure Vettes, no way they would buy a six figure camaro. Now you're in used Porsche gt3 and mclaren territory which will hold their values. It will be expensive when it cones out, fast forward a year or so and you can get a discount.

On another note. Look closely at the rear wing struts. Could it be active aero??

That's Yahoo article is the exact same article as the Car and Driver article! Word for word!
Anyhow, it seems bad ass, whatever it is, but if it's supercharged, they will likely have heat soak issues just like my Old ZL1 and the new Z06!
6 X 30 minutes road track sessions with a supercharger = TONS OF HEAT!

It's the main reason I sold my ZL1 and got the Z28, and didn't even look at the Z06 (plus it was a little bit out of my price range for a track toy, lol)

Rears look at least 325. Fronts are up there too. Maybe 315?

Guess would be M6. Call it a Super Duper ZL1, ZL1.R, ZL1 2.0 (kidding, of course), or whatever they want: it looks great. Someone with Photoshop skills needs to put some colors on it. Start with Red Hot, my favorite.

Considering that Chevrolet has already made the ZL1 the street king, it wouldn't make sense to me to have an "R" version for the track. The Z/28 name was brought back, and for good reason, they needed a track car moniker. Without a doubt, this is the 6th gen Z/28.
I could see all the go-fast bits being an RPO on top of the ZL1, especially if a blower can be heard, but to call it anything but a Z/28 would be creating a "new" Camaro lineage line that has zero history.

That's a beefy looking car! That looks like a ZL1 hood but maybe it's just for testing purposes?

As someone who came from a V2 with a blower that tracked, I would like to see a N/A motor if this is indeed the next Z/28. In general, SC sucks on a road course due to heat soak. I've had days in the V2 where I decided to skip the afternoon sessions due to high ambient temps. On those days, my V would start to pull timing due to heat soak and see 300+ oil temps after a couple laps.

Hope it not a LT4 , NA with at least 500 + HP. Looks like the brakes are steel not CC, that will be good to keep the price down. The GT350R does ok with steel brakes and Ii would think the Z/28 should be 65k to compete with the 350R
