Hi Allison!

Bluetooth connect your phone to the car and then play your music through iTunes or Spotify. I had to read the technology manual that came with the car before I could listen to my playlists.

ps btw, the $10 i spend a month for Spotify is worth it - i get practically every song ever recorded and there are no discs to misplace.

I too use a thumb drive... actually, I have several.. One that my kids maintain so that when they are in the car, they can play their jams.... Otherwise, I do have XM for $100 year which I think is good deal.
