So who is this proper person? I can tell you that I would not put my name on any of the VINs in a database without knowing some safe guards were being taken. There is just too much crazy stuff going on out there today..

i never could figure that out myself. It's not like you are listing your SSN and home address.

YES REALLY!! Try calling any Auto manufacturer GM, Ford, etc give them a VIN and ask for the owner’s name! or give any of the 50 States DMVs a VIN or Tag number or both and ask them for the name of the owners. I work in the criminal investigation industry and 99% of the people out there are not the ones to worry about; it's the other 1% that wreak havoc throughout the world. I am not being paranoid I see this type of thing every day; insurance fraud and identity thief are just a few of the better known ones. There is warranty fraud using just a name and VIN, registration fraud using a name, VIN and tag number. Why do you think manufactures and DMVs go to such lengths to safe guard owner’s identity information?

You would not be so nonchalant about protecting your information if your had ever been a victim of any type of fraud, as most recovery takes months to years not to mention the costs involved.

Lee I would have had no problem if the post would have said that the info was to be provided to you because I know you safeguard the info. But, when you say “proper person" yes it does concern me.

I think we are talking about two different Lees here. I do not not know MLEE but he seems like a nice guy. Any info I have is safe. The only reason I save it is to identify the cars down the road as Pace Cars.

My apologies for the mix up Lee...:( Again I have no problem with anyone matching up owners and vehicles as long as some safeguards are observed.

My main focus is the 51 Festival cars and two coupes that got the numbers 1-53. Maybe we should have sub groups. Just an idea....
Festival cars including the (4 manuals) and the actual cars from race day,
Dealer cars with Auto,
Dealer cars with manual (the other 149)
Canadian cars,
SLP cars...

Has anyone seen the listing for a 2011IPC at RK Motors Charlotte @80K?

Says the Camaro has 81 miles and is currently in their inventory. Is this legit? Not long ago they were on eBay selling at or near sticker price. I have not called to verify this amount with the dealer, just curious.

They are crooks there......Screwed me out of a deal with a 91 Z28. I had a deal with the Manager on the car and they sold it to someone that walked in the door down there the next day. He claims one of his sales people sold it and he didn't know....Yeah, right.....

Thanks for the insight on RK Motors and their lack of fair play, however my question was directed more at the asking price of $79,900.00. I wondered if this was the real value of IPC's at this moment or a big stretch on the part of this broker.

Given I paid $46K (GMS) price for my car with 7 miles on it back in June, the asking price of $80k seems odd.

That's a HUGE stretch... your 46 is more like it.
