ZL1 Side Rockers leave the rear end looking unfinished?
I have a black 1LE and I don't know whether to go ahead and install ZL1 side rockers or not. In some pictures I see, the look is 100% perfect, in others it seems as though the rear diffuser is lacking or unfinished. On the ZL1, the black trim goes all the way around the diffuser (body colored portion) so the look is "finished". And I don't want to install the ZL1 rear diffuser so that isn't an option . The front has the splitter and the look continues with the ZL1 side rockers and then from the Goodyears back, the lower black trim disappears .
I've watched the video posted on youtube a few times and the install seems straight forward, but I'm terrified of scratching the paint. Is it pretty easy if you take your time? Is there a time during the stock side rocker removal that the chance of scratching is high? Popping the clips at the front or the rear??? |

I agree that it makes the car look unfinished, that's another reason why I decided to order a 2014 Camaro 1LE. What I would do is put bigger rear tires to make it look better, if not then you would have to buy the ZL1 side rockers and the Zl1 rear to actually make the car look good.

The only other option I saw is the street scene 4pc side skirt set that comes with additions for the back.. If you look around it can be had for around 400, I'm looking to go this route because of the reasons you stated!

I think the ZL1 rockers look fine without the ZL1 diffuser. The ZL1 diffuser looks great but it wasn't worth it to me just to achieve the look. There are seven elements that contribute to the downforce of the ZL1 and I don't believe the rear diffuser is one of them. I have the ZL1 rockers on my RS without the ZL1 diffuser-sorry not a 1LE. I would keep the 1LE diffuser as it's part of that 1LE signature look. |

[QUOTE=jameslk55;6938219]I'd still rock the stock grill. The 1LE diffuser for NPP exhaust-sorry. I would go for the 1LE concept look:[QUOTE]
The NPP diffuser can be had on all models. I wasn't trying to make my car look like a ZL1. I have the rockers and diffuser because they look good. I have a convertible spoiler because the standard spoiler looks chopped off to me. I have the 1LE splitter because it was just enough to make the front end look aggressive. Why would you swap the whole front end for the ZL1 and not do the diffuser. Seems even more unfinished to me, however opinions may vary...... |

I personally think they look good without the rear zl1 diffuser. From the rear I think the NPP diffuser looks better than the zl1. From the side view I think the zl1 diffuser looks better

I think it's a wash. Both set-ups look fine. No clear winner. Certainly no looser!

The CDC/havoc rear diffuser also looks good with that style of rockers.
I have them on mine. NM - you have the twin exhausts...
