That MT Pro is the best drag radial in the world IMO. Kinda looks weird on a 5th gen but your not going to have any traction issues. I know of guys who have switched from full on slicks to that tire and gained ET/MPH.

OK I'm about to pull the trigger on this. Anyone see issues or changes needed?

These are for the Drag Strip but will most likely see more time on the street since I hate to swap tires all the time. I'm keeping the stock wheels/tires for the Road Track and also for street duty.

Basically want swap once and leave them until I go to a track that requires me to change them again.

I think this will work well for street/strip and also look good too.

18" Weld S76

305/45-18 on a 10.5" wheel (28.8) Stock=28.4 M
235/55-18 on a 7 or 8" wheel (28.2") Stock=27.9

Going with MT ET Street on the rear and probably a Michelin or GY on the front

I've really liked these since they 1st came out. Everyone has the black ZL1 wheels which is why I want a semi-street setup. Too many 1LE and replicas out there now. This will be a nice change.

I probably didn't get the best deal at 600 per wheel but they are on order now.

Rear-Weld S76 Beadlock- Hoosiers 29/10.5W/15" "Bias Ply"
Front Weld 17" "V" Series - MT S/R 28/6.00 R /17" LT

Drives nice on street as long as I keep 15lbs in rear
Setup for street 1/8 mile thus reason for bias rear

Impressive we can fit a 29.5W without clearancing the body. I like it!!

My Hoosier 29/10.5/15W fit with no modification.
Hoosier 29.5/10.5/15 will fit but are not stiff wall yet they do provide for the increased Diameter.
The 29.5/11.5/15w will have a section width a little too wide without spacers.

BMR and Weld combination did a great job with there adjustable ride height and backspace dimension's that places the center line of wheel perfectly for the 5th gen. This allowed even clearance on both inner and outer sides to provide for best tire fitment especially when stretching the limits

A 30" tire would fit and that is what I would probably try next time but Hoosier doesn't have one in stiff wall. MT has a 29.5/10.5-15W that I don't think is a stiff wall but is 0.30" taller@29.6" than the Hoosier I run. I could go to a MT 29.5/10.5/15s and gain diameter but loose approx. 1" tread. MT does not recommend running without tubes and I don't think we can use a tube in the Weld wheel as designed. I could be wrong.

I have tried 2 sets of 315 Radials with little success even using a generous dose of TrackBite. Just not as forgiving as the bias tire I guess.
My Bias Ply/Radial combo is really not bad at all considering 1/8 mile sprints. Lower pressure and 1/4 mile may be a little concerning to some.

Car probably wont be tracked much but see's plenty of un-prepped concrete where you pass by an occasional sign but no grandstands adjacent.
