The time has finally come
Well all of my parts have finally arrived and it’s time to go under the knife . We strapped it down tonight for the baseline numbers and like most all it made 470 at the tire. Tomorrow the heads , cam, headers, injectors and flex fuel kit will be installed. I will also be installing a MGW shifter. The goal is to pick up 120 plus RWHP with the new combo. Stay tuned!

How in the heck do you get ALL that done in one day?!?! You got an NHRA pit-crew at your disposal? Very impressive.

I am lucky to have a very good friend who is a extremely talented GM Master tech and an absolute machine. He has a system and gets into his grove and just knocks it out. He was upset he was off his normal pace due to the additional cooler and the fan set up on the rad and having to do the Trunnion upgrade. The shifter also added an hour or so. My other great friend does the tuning. He put the same combo on his C6 Z06 and many other LS7s he’s done for customers so he just loaded his tune to get the car running. There is a Z06 on the dyno he is finishing up and then we will see what it makes. I’m just happy I no longer have to worry about it dropping a valve! If it wasn’t for that I would have probably left it alone.

Love the info and pics. Looking forward to seeing the end result #’s.
With your friend being a GM master Tech, what’s his/her take on the LS7 valve drop issue. Thanks and good luck |

These stickers weren’t cheap! No dyno pulls yet. There is a Z06 on there with a hodgepodge of different parts on it that’s being difficult. Anxious to get some seat time. I can tell you the MGW was worth the money and that’s just from running through the gears without the car running.

That makes perfect sense. I drove around this past weekend with my newly mgw shifter(installed this past winter). If you like rowing through the gears while parked, you’ll love rolling and rowing with the mgw. Thanks |

Cars still strapped to the dyno and we are finishing up the tune on 93 octane. Next we will fill it with E85 and work on that side of it. It’s a little off the mark as to where I hoped it would have been but we are not done yet. Looks like if I want to see 600 RWHP a ported intake and throttle body would be needed. I really don’t want to change the look of the engine bay nor do I think I will feel the difference in the seat of my pants.. I have to not get caught up chasing that dyno sheet! After all this was all about not dropping a valve! Can’t wait to unstrap it and see how it feels on the street! I can’t get videos to upload from my phone but man it sounds amazing !

It’s all back together and on the road. It’s not liking the E85 as the pump can’t keep up over 5k. I’ll update more later but here’s a running video.

So I just realized the videos do not load even when trying to do so from the forum link. Let me tell you it sounds amazing through stock mufflers with the fuse pulled. I have the pieces to make my own mild to wild controller ( thanks youtube and Amazon) for under $20.00.
We have run into an issue with the E85 set up though. Above 5000 RPM the fuel pressure begins to drop. Looking into reasonable solutions but on 93 its good to go. The gains on a N.A. car on E85 aren't super impressive but the smell is! We found a few more HP on the dyno after last years gas was run out. The old gas was allowing some knock and pulling timing away. The car is very tame on the street. It drives as it did when stock and I couldn't be happier. I just need to now run 3/4 of a tank of E85 out before I can run it hard. If you aren't running a MGW shifter go get yourself one. |

Have you looked into the C6ZO6 forums to read what works for them like Walbro, Fore.
