More power yes, but I know plenty who wanted to go smaller cam again, as the shaking at idle becomes old at times. Dare I even say, a bit out of character, on a modern day design of a car.

Well...ask yourself why a cam in the first place then? Just go Fi from the jump. Regardless of what cam you decide, the cost for labor is the same; so why go mediocre. I have both an L99 and a c6 with an ls3 one is cammed the other procharged with the correct supporting mods and driver mod you can get it to hook. Practice, tuning and finding the sweet spot.

My labor is free. I do all my own work. Cam is way cheaper than boost

No experience with GPI, I've been very happy with my tsp 235/239 setup. I'm sure youll be happy with GPI, but I would go big especially given how you use the car.

If you're having a hard time deciding on a cam then you can email patrick guerra from the guerra group in victoria, TX. He specs a lot of cams for ls cars mostly in the houston area but he's spec'd cams for a few folks in here too. He knows his stuff and is real good at it, a great tuner too. You can email him and tell him what you want and he'll spec you a great cam. Just an idea if you're indecisive on what cam to go with

Some cams require more "supporting mods". On one the end of the spectrum, you have "drop-in" cams.. Also, supporting mods for a 21x/22x cam, should not have to be as intensive, as say for a 23x/24x. Supporting mods=more labour |
