Shit I think I ruined my emp pump
So awhile back when I ran the trunk tank lines , I put water inside of it to check the connections for leaks , I then drained the tank but forgot about the water inside the pump , today I took a it apart to dynamo the trunk and noticed there’s rust inside .. I’m hoping it’s ok and I can just flush it .. pretty mad at myself .. actually when I popped the hose off is when I noticed rusty water coming out
Fml brand new pump never ran smh .. I know should of been distilled water - Gonna run distilled water and water wetter .. Hope I’m not screwed , cause these pumps on back order .. I’ll see what emp says in the morning g as I shot them a email |

Emp says it’ll be good just flush it . It’s from the carbon shaft - they either put a ss or carbon shaft in these pumps .

Ran 10 gal of distilled water and antifreeze mix - it’s nice and clean now - It’s did spit out a lot of crud on the first flush -
That emp pump can put out some water !! Took like 5 sec for it to shoot it out . Lucked out on that one !! Pumps all good . Although , my 16an hose end for my feed is slightly seaping at the pinhole on the side of the nut .. It’s a Fragola too , think it’s defective and it’s gonna be a byatch to get that hose off that barb |

Fuel system leak free flushed and ran the system and all pumps cranked it to 75 psi - set base to 58 , put on lid and buttoned up my 4corner steam kit ..
Got bmr Delrin cradle bushings Toe rods Trailing arms Delrin/poly rear diff bushing kit Rear suspension bushing kit . Forgestar f-14 17x10 bead locks Forgestar f-14 18x5 Headers coming back from jet hot coat tomorrow . Other than tires And fluids That’s last of my parts And that damn Fragola fitting that was leaking from the hole on the side of the nut smh . Got a new one coming and got another 1”hose .. ruined it trying to take it apart for my trunk tank Last edited by Risingson05; 05-22-2022 at 10:47 PM. |

Really appreciate it !! You and me both lol no one locally has an ac belt so luckily I found one .. apparently their on national back order , was looking for a stretch belt tool too with no luck ..
It’s getting down to the wire , this weekend plan on doing the bushings and rear suspension mods .. |

Jet costed headers in and spark plugs too
I’m pretty happy with jet hot coat . Opted for the 2500 series in black . Driver side was a breeeze , passenger was alittle more challenging and required a second hand . got them and the spark plugs in withougj having to unbolt my regulator, which I was pretty happy about , although to change my plugs I think I’ll have to remove dipstick tube ..
Also got my trunk tank lines buttoned up My plan for prelube is using the oil galley by the alternator, why my valve cover driver side is still loose as when I prime the motor wanna see oil coming out of pr |
