i found this is a good location at the traction control, when i open my door, the led comes on in cup holder, if its light outside, it goes out, if dark stays on, and i can dim it also if i think the interior is to bright, when i shut off car, after a couple seconds light goes out with all interior lights.
good for my purposes..but i see what you want to do, that is fine also, just not able to use dimmer i think with that set up..later ryd,,

That sounds good.
Did you have to pull the shifter plate and all or can you get to it from the side? And what wires did you jump into?
I have a 1SS and non ABL if that makes any difference.

Steel take a look at the first couple of posts. it should be good for your 1ss but i am not sure about the ABl ?? you dont have to pull the shifter plate, the traction control pops up and then from there you take the clip that controls traction control and un-clip it,..(easy) and splice into the yellow and black wires..with the new red and black led wires...super easy process..if you follow directions in this thread..let us know how you do...maybe a pict of two..later ryd,.
