Not sure what you're trying to say, it went out of production in 2015 or 2016? Cause 2017s definitely exist.

Yep, 17 was the model year of the SS.

Other than the SRTs, I don't think that I'll ever risk owning a Chrysler based on their reputation. Chevy handily outclasses the brand at every genre except the full sized performance sedan segment. Its not a bad statement against Chevy SS, but in terms of the car's appearance and horsepower, the Charger clearly dominates this segment.

GM's light trucks and SUVs are also very dominant in their genres. I probably would opt to buy one of my favorite Chevrolet or GMC light trucks as opposed to any Chrysler.
I can't argue the SRT has better power than the SS with the LS3. It would have been much better with the LT1 for sure. I do like the looks of the SS better along with the handling. The Charger is heavy and feels it, where the SS at 3950 lbs feels much lighter and more nimble. I actually like the feel of the car better than my 12 ZL1.

The strangest thing, however, is that I also like the Chevy SS. I have nothing but good things to think about it. The styling doesn't grab me so much, but it is a great sedan. The 418 hp is a bit disappointing on paper, especially against the 485 hp Mopar. If I didn't like the Charger's appearance then I would definitely look to own an SS. Right now (luckily) I'm not in the market for anything so I'm not feeling the pressure to choose.

I am hoping that Chevy comes up with an 'SS version on the Alpha platform to entertain us for a while.

My question to anybody who has experience with Chargers of the 2011-2014 generation; do you think the trade's worth it? I'm obviously trading down in the sense that I'm losing the V8 and convertible, but the Pentastar has some power to it and the AWD is extremely appealing as I live in PA. I think the Camaro looks better at the moment, but I plan on tinting the windows and getting black wheels for the Charger (it's also black), which will drastically improve the looks. I'm just worried that I'll end up missing the looks of the Camaro. I just don't want to regret the trade-in, that's all. Anybody else have any experience with a similar trade-in scenario and can offer me any advice?

Thanks for any and all the advice, guys!
Why are you only considering a SXT? IMO you would be craving more power shortly. There are great buys out there right now with the 392 R/T Chargers. I was looking at and test driving the Daytona a few weeks back and there were also a few R/Ts in the 36-37k range brand new 17s outfitted very nice.

If you like the ghetto cruiser look there's always the SRT-8 Chrysler 300.

Yes then I snap out of it and realize what a great car it is.

Trade the Vert for a hardtop Camaro SS to get more room. JMHO
