How do I quite this B!tch

SO... I'm running 2.25" from the H-pipe area (without the H pipe or factory resonators) no mufflers and 4" black tips. Looks sick, in love with the bigger black tips (no Homo) but it's WAY TOO LOUD. It's raspy as hell from 2800+rpm when you are 50% or more on the throttle. Idle sounds awesome, but it turns into a ricer after 3K with any hard throttle. I need help with a choice.

1. put on two 2.25" resonators to help quiet it down.
2. put on two 2.25" round mufflers.
3. X-pipe where the stock resonators were?
4. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You definitely NEED the magnaflow resonated X-pipe where the hpipe used to be. This will eliminate most but not all of your rasp problem.

Magnaflow Resonated X pipe.. will tone it down.. thats what 90% of V6 guys run 11386 Takes Away most of the rasp and sounds great with any Mufflers ..

Round mufflers will create heavy drown issues. If your considering adding mufflers, look into ovals, as they help out with the drowning problems. I would start off with doing the resxpipe,if there's still too much rasp, because there will be some, go with the ovals, after. Go step by step, so you can see if you like it or want more reduction. Good luck!!

I got tired of the drone from my MRT V2's so I slapped on a pair of L99 mufflers. Still loud when I want it and quiet at cruizing speed..

Go with the proven fix. Listed by thee two. This is what most of us have done to control the RASP.

No I haven't, I never trust sound clips on the internet anyway, they never sound like the real thing. Too many variables it equipment you record and playback with to get a good quality reproduction.

I would find a nice exhaust to pair with the x pipe. Most people will agree straight pipe does not sound good on a V6

Correct.

As for good sounding V6 Camaro's I offer my set-up all thou it is a LLT with headers.

I from others often how great my set-up sounds.

OBX headers, no cats, Magnaflow resonated X pipe, MRT 2.0.

See my journal for more about my build.

I don't have cats, resonators, or mufflers. Just the X pipe.

This is what it sounds like actually driving it.
