Calgary and area car wash
Heya,
Anyone know of a good touchless car wash in the Calgary area? I went to Esso the other day and the touchless there for some reason does a good enough job except for the one spot around the gills, especially in front of it. I cant think of any other car wash in town who doesnt have the same set up as Esso. Shell near Chinook mall for example is touchless but on rail. I try to avoid those ones as they can scratch the rims. Petro-Canada apparently have this Glide system but i sure as hell never seen one of those new ones in town. All they have is the old system with cloth and this is not even something worth considering. Any other places you guys know? Cheers! PS, man do i ever love this car!!! I had it for less than 2 weeks or so now and i am a bit over 1k on milleage! |

been many years since I've been there, but there used to be a hand wash (I think) at 4th St. and 20th Ave SW.
aka 4&20 car wash |

I use Esso and Petro-can
Esso good touchless wash but they changed their water systems last year so now i get spots on my black SS occasionally. Otherwise i use the Petro-Can on 4 St and 19 Ave SW very good job

Nope!
On REALLY hot days (August sunshine) the water will dry so quickly they'll be some spots on the trunk... but I just shine them out. Takes about 10 minutes.

I use the Pay "Wash it yourself" in Midnapore in the SE. I bring my bucket with Mitt and sprays there. I purchased a pre-paid card so when i'm ready to hand wash I just shut down the $$ counter, then start it up again when i'm ready to rinse.
I never use the brush on my car but I do turn it on to get the suds then use my mitt to hand wash. As long as it's not too busy they don't mind you taking a bit extra time. |
