No problem, just trying to keep the battles out of the sticky threads so they don't get closed.

HHO anyone? Split water into Hydrogen and oxygen, they claim 125% increase in gas mileage. Easy to build , I'm going to try it.

Hey Gretch! I hope all is well. Been following your new build, starting to look pretty sick! I am sure you are having fun.

I wanted to also ask, do we have the latest IPF cars on the list? Jessepang, Dman3000, etc.?

Thanks as always! And good luck!

Thanks,

Jesse!

I'm still learning and pretty ignorant to this stuff but it seems that the turbos have greater torque for the same amount of hp vs S/C. I thought turbos took longer to spool and S/C power was on demand? Is that torque throughout the entire powerband for Turbos? Sorry if this is a dumb question lol.

I plan to go FI this spring/summer and after seeing Gretchen numbers I want to shoot for 450-475 at the wheels and I want the torque to go with it and seems turbos give you that.

Roots superchargers are the torque on demand superchargers. Centrifugal superchargers (like the RX and IPF ones) build boost as the rpms rise. So they make peak power higher in the rpm range. So yes, you're right, if you want "the torque to go with it", turbos are definitely the way to go. And you won't encounter much if any turbo "lag" from spooling if you get a properly sized turbo. You could also go twins and pretty much get rid of turbo lag completely. Since you're an LFX, you'll be able to make more power because of the fueling abilities of the LFX

Would be fair to say a roots style is a positive dispalcement type, no slip. With the centrifugal is a non-positive, a small amount of slip.

Looks like the first post needs some updating...

Jesse, do you have numbers on some of the recent IPF kits you mentioned a few posts above?

Also, hopefully the "older" FI guys can update us on their most current HP/TQ numbers...

There has been a lot of activity lately, so I am sure I missed something. I got Jessepang and Dman3000 (just no numbers). Who else am I missing?
