+1 Weaker than stock heads. Dead serious. One set we did and one set CPR did. We've NEVER in 20yrs of turbocharging cars seen heads blow out so easy. Might be a great N/A head but then why would you be going 6-bolt heads at all. |

Pourous castings, poor material, poor design. Who knows. Both CPR and AGP with barely any miles/usage blew a hole right through the chamber. PRC said too bad. I saw the damage in person, and it was obviously a bad casting/material issue, and PRC wouldn't do anything.
So for a <600 NA car, maybe, but I would never give them another dime. For a FI car, like I said, you would have to pay me to put them on, because they would come right off and a good set of heads would go on. Both sets failed in the same way, when factory ls3/lsa heads made more power for many miles, and the 6 bolt heads fail <500 miles and <1000 miles, that is an issue. CPR and AGP had the exact same failure. Chamber breaking right into the water jacket.

That's crazy. I didn't know about these. I have been thinking about running their small bore LS7 heads. I'm guessing not now.

Looks like I'm ditching these heads! Prob just throw them on a shelve or make a table out of them because I could not, for the life of me, feel good about myself selling these to another person.
I'm just happy I have not put them on the car and I bought them from private seller and not Texas speed. |

They probably would be ok for a heads/cam NA build, so you could sell them with that in mind. They don't function for a FI build or high HP application.

What's the ongoing opinion of the RHS small bore LS7 heads?

Probably is just not good enough for me... as well as PRC not standing behind their product, yeah in my opinion, it's good enough for art or paperweights nothing more.

Hmmm. Glad I read this and glad I still have the stock heads for if I go F/I!!!!!!!!
the proof is in the pic you posted that maybe the PRC heads are not up to the task for forced induction, but I can say that they are working well for me so far and Texas speed treated me pretty good when I had shipping/theft/order issues with my 255's. Just Hope I can sell them and not lose my ass if I decide to do this twin turbo project...
