LIAR!

When I fill up it gives me range of 370 to 380 miles. I set a trip meter, run it to empty and it shows 310 to 320. I know there’s some still in the tank but not that much.

The most honest car I ever owned was an ex-police car. It never went above full and when that gauge hit empty the car stopped.

All modern vehicles lie to you, and they have for many years.
Due to consumer demands...

You are never going as fast as the speedometer reads. (though the odometer is as accurate as it can be.)

Oil pressure reads high, temperature low.
Fuel always reads low, until you fill it up. Then it reads overfull for the first quarter, becomes more realistic between 3/4 and 1/4, then reads low. So some fool doesn't run out.

Miles to Empty always errs on the low side. You never know when you pull off the highway if there is an obstacle which adds time before you can get to the pump. Better than the other way around.

You should drive the early C4 Corvette. Once you get to the last green bar on the LCD fuel reading, that is IT. No joke!

I think that's just an estimated range, with varied driving that number is going to change. when I drive faster or slower my range always changes.

It uses your average MPG which is shown in your menu items, and multiplies by the amount of gas left in the tank.

Reset everything if you want it to get a little more accurate.

And how empty do you run it? When I had my LFX, I noticed that even when the needle was down to E, I still had 3 gallons left.

I cut it close. It usually says “low fuel” which is less than 50 miles.

310+50=360.

I'd say it's pretty accurate. Only about a gallon off, acceptable range of error in my book.
