BLUE ANGELS ARE HERE ON LONG ISLAND!!!
Every year the Navy's Blue Angels do an air show at Jones Beach on Long Island...:flag2:
I live very close to the water and when they arrive a few days before, I can see them fly over my house when they are practicing...  It is so cool to see them all flying in a tight formation looking like they are only inches apart...  I also get to see all the vintage planes fly over too...  It just means one thing - Memorial Day is almost here!!!....

Two A-10 warthogs (fighter planes) flew over my office in preparation for landing into Farmingdale...its nice to have a window in your office this time of year
 . There's more to come since the planes are just arriving today (blue angels @ 9 AM, warthogs at 12, CF-18 at 2 PM, and other stuff in between).

I really want to sit over in the Home Depot parking lot on Sunday and watch the planes take off and land from the show, but I found out that the LICOA group is doing a bagel run at the VA medical center (and spending time with the veterans). I think I might go to that and do something good with my day off. Plus its fun being an outcast, vette, vette, vette, Camaro, vette, vette, LOL

I know a young woman that is at the Naval Academy on a full scholarship (my boys are good friends of hers from school).
She is SOOOO EXCITED to see the Blue Angels. She wants to fly and says 'Jets Are YUMMY'. lol She is just one of the coolest kids. Enjoy! |

A buddy of mine and I were with the Blue Angels about ten years ago.Flew out of the Oakland Airport.. had to go through a briefing , breath excersizes , bag on the velcro leg pouch ...
 My friend lost his cookies and his equalibrium was out of wack for about a month .... there is not enough room for a G suite so those pilots are nails !
