... Don't know.

Have you done any mods?
If yes, What is the last mod you did before you threw a code?

I dont even think thats a legit code. What kind of code reader was used?? All OBD2 codes are B or P and then 4 letters. That may be a GM specific code. Any other service lights on??

L99?
I am not at the shop to look it up but I believe that is a cam timing or phase code. Possible a stuck or slow solenoid causing the cam timing to off from what the computer tells it to be.

Ok got to the shop and looked. P00008 is not Valid for a V8 Camaro.
P0010 & 0011 are the Cam codes I was thinking of.

If you was driving a Suzuki then P00008 would be a Cam phase code

Google returned this http://engine-codes.com/p0008_chevrolet.html

Hopefully this is not up-to-date and means something different on the Camaro's. If it is this issue, according to that link it has to do with the crankshaft and camshaft being out of alignment. AKA slipped timing chain/belt. Not sure if the V6 is a chain like the 8's or not. Also your going to want to find out if the V6 is an interaction engine or not and if its still under warranty i would tow it to the dealer vs risking a piston to valve interaction...
