The shift pattern goes like this (If I remember right)
P N R 4th 3rd 2nd 1st So from park you pull back twice to Reverse... then you ratchet back 6 times to get to 1st... no need to count because you feel the 7th pull is stopped. Then just ratchet forward one at a time as you go up in gears and pull back to downshift... (No mercy you push or pull and it goes) Once you get to 6th it won't push forward until you push the red lever forward. So if you pull up and stop in 3rd gear you would have to push forward twice and then flip the lever to tap back up to park. Owen explained it to me this way... it's like lining up 6 gears on a rod.. then slide them all the way to the rear and just slapping one right up next to the other... one at a time. Very smooth shifting too. |

The Thumb button is set to lock the converter. I think it will lock in lower gears..(could be wrong) Also notice the switch by the cup holder... that's a converter lock for the highway.

Just curious as to what made your decision to go with this setup instead of a built 4l80e auto with a trans brake if you ever decide to run it at the track? I just took my manual out and am swapping to a built 4l80e with a trans brake. Not saying it is bad but just curious as to how you made your decision as I loved driving a manual but for my setup the auto setup was best for me. Sweet ride by the way. You will love the LSX 427, it is a true beast and absolutely insane with alot of boost.
