Lol, if I knew the date mine was made I likely wouldn't post it out of sheer embarrassment. Mine is an old ass Cobra ESD 7000 from back when the pyramids were being built and I was still what people would consider 'young'. 5th gens didn't exist when this was produced. Hell, I doubt the Concept Camaro was even put to paper yet. It was considered an 'affordable' detector even when it was first released, at sub $100.

But it works. Yes, it picks up every leaky ass signal, shopping center, and lane departure system out there, but it has saved me a literal fortune in tickets over the years. I know when it's not joking and when there really is a traffic cop scanning, so it is still serving it's purpose for now. One day I will replace it and put it out of it's sun bleached misery.

I have looked at that before and the features are insane. I know you can get it bundled with the Escort Dash Cam too (I run the VAVA 2K cam now). What does the app do? I ask because I have an Android head unit and it would be awesome to get alerts right on my stereo screen and speakers.

Edit: OMG, just did some more research and learned that the iDatalink head units when used with an Rr2 brain box can integrate the Escort Max 360 detector into the head unit. SICK!

The app is linked into the radar detectors in your area by GPS so when someone's radar detector hit gets a ka or laser hit it'll put it on the apps map kinda like waze also.
If we run hard on the freeway we run all three. Also has redlight cameras location on it too.

Here is my archaic unit. I can't drive with it on the freeway, seems like it is throwing out laser and K-band warnings more than being quiet. I'm so behind on this (and many other) form of tech. What gives all the false alarms anyhow? I turn the laser function off unless I'm in the boondocks. Guess I'll need to crack open the coin purse for a new gizmo but I don't want to spend a fortune and have the same false alarm issues.

I previously had an Escort and it was good (to an extent), but when I had it, they really didn't ever support the products that they had out (I'm sure things have changed since). There was only ever one firmware update for the detector I had and then nothing. They never fixed any issues that the detector had, which could have been easily addressed in a firmware update.
