The Nightfury is a sound cam

For all the paper chasers out there, here is my graph.

I’m disappointed in its performance as well. Vs a 19 5.0 with cat delete and a 91 Lund tune I got walked. 3.91s actually might be too much gear at this point. Doesn’t change my opinion though. God forbid I run into a 10spd. Car runs awesome but honestly I expected more for the amount of money I put into it.

I'd go more stall right off the bat no matter if you keep this cam or swap to another.

It’s on my list of things to do, this one was awesome for the stock cam.

It sounds awesome, but it’s more bark than bite.

I put down 530whp dynojet with the nightfury, ported heads, headers, rod modded ported manifold, and 3.91 gear. You need a better tuner.

No, tuning isn’t the issue. Intake manifold is choking it. It has 28° of timing and it falls off at 6500. These heads don’t have that aggressive of a port either. But I stand by my statement it’s more bark than bite. Also, mines an auto and eats power. Most of these LS3 cars that make north of 500 wouldn’t through an auto.

Even with your rod mod, you might make 480 through an auto.

Almost same setup, more Dynojet hp/tq

I am running a Rodmod, and SS3 GPI cam, 4,200 Circle D, 3.91. on a Dynojet, it put down 500.9whp, and 457 wtq. I'm sure the intake is not helping as well.

I have 28° of timing as well. My heads are just GM ported ones. Big cams need to breath. But even with a ported manifold it will fall off around 6500. That is due to the runner length. While it is more difficult to make big numbers with an auto, they are usually quicker regardless. Especially with a good stall. Don't always get tied up with numbers. It really depends on how the car runs.

Not saying the NF is the best cam out there either.
