Ditto the OP's experience with my OBX headers. 3,000 miles and counting. Zero problems. No Check Engine Light with the straight pipes and the rear O2 extenders either.

I guess since you paid someone for the headers you don't think it is stealing? This isn't about saving a buck or how the quality/fitment is. I applaud those who refuse to buy stolen property just to benefit themselves. This is about having a moral compass, not about getting a bargain.

Mine weren't stolen. I bought them from an authorized OBX vendor.

OBX headers are different than Kooks right down to the welds. Maryland Speed's thread comparing the two proved that. Similar looking?...yes. Stolen design...I think not.

1. There is a limited # of bends that the header tubes can take for the same car between brands. Do they look similar?....Yes. You know why, because it's for the same application people. Duh!
2. The ball and socket collector flange has been around for years. No one owns the patent on that. If OBX had used a slip fit or even gasketed collector somebody else would be screaming knock-off.
3. Stainless steel? Many manufacturers make stainless steel headers. I'm not aware of any patents on this type of stainless steel.
4. O2 bungs?...yeah the factory has those too so I would expect all aftermarket headers to have them.

The OBX haters' arguements are flawed. Haters are gonna hate no matter what. I've said it before and I'll say it again...I have never seen so much "header snobbery" in regard to this topic in my life.

That has never been proven. There wasn't a single "Made in China" sticker on the box, headers or instructions when I received mine.

Keep on hating...

There's a reason Marylandspeed started those other threads.
If you have nothing to contribute, stay out.

And guess where the 20" wheels on our beloved Camaro's are made....that's right, CHINA! I wanted to "buy American" so I did, only to find out a lot of parts are made elswhere....Mexico, Italy, Canada, China, and who knows wherelse! There's no way around it. If we only bought stuff made in the US we'd be hard preseed to find it or it would be very expensive.

With OBX products, whether or not they're knock offs, I probably would steer away from them anyway because of their track record and horror stories! I'm glad for those of you that have no problems but I worry about long term quality. I personnally won't buy their products! As far as the Chinese wheels, that's ok as long as they're not proven to be knock offs of some other brand!
