Couldn't believe my eyes ! - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Put my car in for a service this morning and while I was waiting for a ride took a walk around the lot to look at the lovely 2011's on show. One in particular caught my eye, blue with silver stripes (love that combo).

I approached it from the side and saw the SS badging on the fenders above the CAMARO badge, thought it was a nice touch and walked around the back (passing the chrome vent inserts, chrome gas cap and the quarter panel black out) to the trunk which had a chrome bow installed - then I noticed......they had debadged the SS from the rear, or had they?????

I walked around the front to the window sticker and there I seen it, a freeking LS with some dealer outfitting, but who would put SS badges on a V6, particularly a dealer??

They are doing this at some of the Chevy dealers!!! Just be aware what you are buying!!

THOSE MUST BE PLATINUM BADGES! HOLY CRAP! STRIPES, GAS DOOR AND FAKE SS BADGES TALLY UP TO $3495?

And I was mocking the dealer...not the V6's. I actually liked the feel of the V6 over the L99 I drove.

I think the wheels were the 20" RS wheels - probably where most of the cost is.

no worries, I knew you were joking, I love my V6 - having a sleeper is one thing but disguising a stock V6 as a V8 is a joke

And, if you are going to screw up and put SS badges on a V6...do me a favor: CENTER THE STUPID THINGS UNDER THE CAMARO BADGE...not on top and all the way over to the left.

It must look like CRAP on the driver's side.

And no one can prove they actually added this nor prove they did'nt... no real proof any of it was done.

FU*King rip off. Just another way the dealer is marking these up, making a quick buck and not offering the buyer a damn thing but a rapeing.

Uh, they get kickbacks on financing as well, so it nothing but WIN for the dealer. Someone should report that.

That's landshark $hit right there.
