Trying to get interest up so we hit our numbers or better them and pay less.

Been talking to some of the other members and we need to meet more as a group. Our big show gathering for RICOA used to bring us all together but now that it’s discontinued the only time other is Fort Adam’s and that is hard on our northern members.

So if there’s a good show mid state Massachusetts maybe we plan a big gathering and adopt a new show. We can still have our NEC Camarofest in Chicopee but this would be something else to do as a club.

So, I just attempted to place the order. Unfortunately we did not hit the minimum target I set of 100 items, we only reached 84 across the entire club of over 300 members. There's no blame, but coming up short leaves behind a shortage charge for those 16 items not purchased of around $145.

So in setting this whole ting up, I tried to keep the prices reasonable and was actually hoping to exceed my initial threshold to bring the item prices down and refund the difference. The reverse has happened.

Here are the choices:

1) cancel everything, reset the order with lower item threshold which will increase the item prices and try again.

2) cancel everything, all orders canceled no credit cards charged and call it a day.

I think we have time to do this again, we can always set up a delivery train, stay with shipping and of course delivery at shows.

So cast your vote.....

Well I don’t mind trying again but if the price is higher I wouldn’t order as many. I’m already at a higher price of $2 to $3 per item since they are larger sizes...

I really don’t think there are 300 members anymore. I would be surprised if there are 50...

As much as I hate too I have to vote for number 2 if the price is higher.

Unfortunately, I think I'm with Kopterman for option 2. With the increased price, I'll likely order less, as will many people, which will make it a lot harder to hit a reduced target number, and this same thing will likely happen again.

I appreciate the work you put in though, thank you.

All of you will be receiving emails that your orders have been cancelled. After getting notified that credit cards were getting charged, I didn't want to wait any longer on making this decision. I want to thank all of you that ordered, I wish we had met the goal, but we didn't and the price point was going to go up. Others weighed in and told me that they would order fewer items and that would just spiral the order again.

So for now, I'm tabling this for now, until I can get in front of the largest group and have a discussion about trying again.
