Not a Camaro but my '08 Corvette did 408rwhp stock and makes 676rwhp now on 8psi using a D1SC procharger, mild blower cam, stock axle back, and lg longtubes.

LT headers, CAI and tune: 412rwhp 412 rwtq. Add custom grind blower cam, ZL1 fuel pump and ACT twin disk clutch: 460rwhp 425rwtq Add Maggie with OD cogs an the 3.8" pulley and FIC 850 injectors: 625rwhp and 615rwtq @ 9.5 pounds of boost!!! I knew the gas would hurt the #'s, but I was shocked to see it over 600rwhp! Lowest run during tuning, even after 6 pulls was 612rwhp. It's crazy being in 6th and not having to down shift to pass people.

wow guys....
So next summer I am planning on adding a SC to my stock camaro. Spoke to Hennessy and SLP (I am leaning heavily with SLP due to the warranty). Anyway the HPE650 kit and SLP stage III will get me the desired ammount of HP and both claim the kits will fully work in the stock LS3 motor and tranny. Just wondering if that is correct info. This is my very first pony car.... |

many diff stories on how much a stock ls3/trans can hold. Keep reading on this topic (other threads as well), many say anything over 600hp is tooooooo much for the clutch.

Hi alaskacamaro, FYI a few weeks ago an owner from Anchoridge Alaska bought his ZL1 in Green Bay, drove south to ADM Perf in DFW for stage 2 mods, then drove to Seattle and ferried his car up to Alaska with no issues. Look him up and get his thoughts. I believe ADM can give warranty thru Magnason as well. I have seen the installs fron other vendors and they are not even close to what a customer gets from ADM. Just another choice for you to check out, plus you will save money as well. Good Luck

I just want to make sure I get the proper kit. Want a stage III but SLP states it is "off road use only". Before: Never got it dynoed stock ?
After: Whipple SC, LS3 Conversion, Cam, Valve Springs, Head Work, ID 850's, VMAX Throttle Body, 3200 Stall, ARH LT Headers HF cats and X-pipe, Rx Catch Can, Rotofab CAI. Very happy with the results and special thanks to CBI Street Cars and DSX Tuning .
