I'm gonna check with my dealer tomorrow, I really want to order these gears soon now that I know it's an easy direct swap in.

Maybe i should call my buddy's dad and ask him to do it. He works at a dealership.

as long as he is trained and certified for it. big dealers have guys that specialize in different systems and parts of the car. like a trim guy, a rear end guy, a suspension guy, etc.

Your car will still be assigned to have whatever gear ratio it came with. If the gears fail they have a 12m/12k warranty. The other parts in the rear diff will still have the remainder of powertrain warranty if dealer ignores the fact that you changed the ratio. The official word from the general is going to be "if you want warranty on 1le parts then you have to buy a 1le camaro".

So according to LPE the 3.93 gear will run the engine 13% faster in 6th gear so top end speed will drop along with gas mileage. I wonder if it's possible to change 5th and 6th gear in the manual trans? Then you would have the complete 1LE gear package.

You can't change them individually. The .56 ratio is generally the longest one available anyways.

Mileage isn't going to hurt much. RPMs will go up right at 200 RPMs at 70 MPH. 13% is 211 RPMs at 70. Will one even notice? Instead of driving 75, go 73.

Top speed is in 5th gear, not 6th gear.

And a supercharger. I don't see just tuning adding the kind of power it takes to make 6th the high speed gear. In the Vettes, it takes the LS9 to have the power to pull top speed in 6th. In the Camaros, it takes a blower.

What I meant was removing the top speed limiter (155mph) with the tune. Then maybe top speed would be in 6th gear.
