It would be nice from Chevy if they could throw another 500/1000 spots on the island giving the huge success/demand. What do you say Chevy? I know, I know you can only fit this many cars on the island...

Yes the island can hold thousands as it seems, but I'm pretty sure they have a certain part of the island sectioned off just for the event. Belle isle is a State Park as of a few years ago I just wonder if they're only allowing the RSVPs to attend and not people who just usually visit the island. Maybe you can still visit the island, but still not allowed to attend this event that's blocked off.

Hum...so the launch will not be made within Grand prix weekend but 2 weeks before on May 16th, the Grand Prix is on May 29-31. I don't get the reference to it then? I really liked that Idea of the launch on the Grand prix weekend knowing the Pirelli World Challenge Camaro's will be there racing for the win and the large crowd available for unveiling time.

Ok, so it's a private show for the lucky 1000. A lot of Camaro5 fans will be sad that they won't be able to make it...
Will there be a live webcast?

Finally!..isn't Detroit the site of where these are going to built?(speculated they might release the 6th @ it's new birthplace). Congrats to all that's going, so jealous.

I doubt we'll know that even on the day it's revealed. First they will tell us when production starts and then once they decide that they've passed quality control they will be released from the plant and on their way to dealers. You will see a lot of whining on here during the period between them being built and them actually being released. You just have to keep your eyes and ears open for quite awhile.

Same state, but the Camaro will be built in Lansing Mi, towards the middle of the state, NW of Detroit.

Even at 1:30am, some people were getting a 'Sold Out' notice, while others were getting in. At least one 'Sold Out', person mentioned he registered as NOT bringing a Camaro.

Could that be a factor??

Also, I got an e-mail confirmation within 5 min of registering. No idea if that means I'll be one of the lucky one, or if just confirms I'm on 'The List'

It did say those bringing a Camaro would have priority.

Anyone registered as not bringing their Camaro should automatically get bumped by someone who is bringing theirs.
