Latest time to order a 2015 SS 1LE

Hey guys. I've read through the etiquette thingy, amd I hope I'm posting this on the right place. I want to order a 2015 1LE, but I want it as late as possible. Do you guys know the latest time frame in which I can order one?

Okay I figured that. The dealer is not telling me. Any ideas on when GM stopped taking orders on 2014s?

I think it may be to early to tell at this point. You may have to wait until later in the 2015 production year to get a true answer.

Not sure if we are comparing apples to apples, but....I initially ordered a 2012 convertible on March 22 of 2012. The dealer didn't really know any better and thought it would be built toward the end of the 2012 run, which went until sometime in the second week of May that year. I found out a couple of weeks later (thanks to this website) that I had placed my order two days too late. I went back to the dealer, explained what I had found out, and placed an order for a 2013 convertible on April 16. My 2013 was produced on the first day of 2013 production (June 10 2012, if I remember correctly) and I drove it home from the dealer on July 5. I don't know what the production backlog is like now, but if it is similar you may be looking at a 2015 model. Good luck. There are worse problems to have.

I'd say way too early too tell. I doubt GM has established a date yet. It depends on a lot of things like when start of production is for the new model, and how much inventory there is of the old model. If they have a lot of unsold cars they may stop building sooner than planned. It also depends on what changes they are making in Oshawa where the current car is built.

Why are you wanting to wait for a 2015 & it's not in production yet? Plus there will be new '14 & '15's on dealer lots next year & for sure '15's year after that.

Reason being, I want this generation's design, and 2015 is the last year of it. In terms of why I can't buy now... I'm saving up. Make sense?

Besides, I highly doubt there'll be 2015 1le cars "sitting" on the lots

Maybe not the color or options you want but there will be. Just have to look hard & far.

When I ordered my 2013 1LE on 3/23/13, I was told that the last date to order a '13 was 3/27/13. I took delivery early June. I don't know how close that will be true for the 2015 production.
