It was a solid thump, but fortunately the coyote was small. I've hit a few deer, they make a much bigger wallop and do a lot more damage. Here on the Central Coast I think the deer are technically Columbia deer, not Mule and a big one is not much over 125 lbs.

I feel your pain . Back in 1971 I hit a Buck with my 1969 Z28 and it destroyed the whole front clip.

Good to go now
All fixed up and ready to rock. The coyote went far enough back to bend the a/c condenser coils and the radiator. Lucky me that it held up and I was able to drive into town - it was dang hot out there and just about the middle of nowhere too.

Hey Camaro Dude, years ago I nailed a young buck with my Blazer and pulled over to check out the damage. The front end looked about as bad as you'd expect, so I started dragging the buck around to the back. A car pulled up behind me and this old guy (I can get away with that now, I'm in that category) gets out and asks if I need a hand with it.
"Hell yeah, thanks" I say as we toss it in. Got home, strung it up, gutted it and cleaned it that night. About all it was good for was a couple steaks and chili. |
