My man, after you put on the second coat you really shouldn't wet the rags on the ground like that. You may pick up a small piece of concrete and scratch your window.

Only thing i would recomend different is instead of paper towells, use newspaper to clean the inside glass- no streaking if done correctly

Sweet...good to know. I use 0000 steel wool for a lot of different things but I wasn't aware that it would not scratch glass. Definitely be checking this out.

I've used RainX for years. You can actually use it to remove bug residue from your windshield. I also recently learned you can use a clay bar on your windshield as well. I think this accomplishes the same thing as the steel wool. The advantage that steel wool has is it is cheaper and I imagine you can re-use it more than clay.

In my opinion I would never use anything on a surface that is softer than the item you are using without lubricant. That's why I use a razor blade with a very liberal amount of glass cleaner, and then follow it up with clay barring. Best technique I've ever used on mine or any of my clients cars. Here is a video of Larry at AMMO NYC doing it so you know I'm not just crazy.

I've seen these recommendations over the years and personally find it easier to just clay my windows. Then Wash with your favorite glass cleaner and MF towel, then seal. I use Adams product line for cleaner and sealant but there are others.

Definitely use Iron Cut after you steel wool the windshield. The tiny little steel wool pieces you can't see are all of the bottom of your windshield now. If you don't remove them they will rust.

Adams glass cleaner and sealant work very well for me.
