It really is not that hard. I started one night after dinner maybe 630 or 7 pm, had to quit at 11pm. I finished it up the next morning. maybe 6 hours total, most of that was triple checking the measurements for the cut in the dash. Even then, I went pretty conservative, and made small adjustments outwards. you will probably do a better job then a shop, it's YOUR car and you care about it, MOST shops see it as $$$$

Good luck!

Tim

Hey everyone, new to the board, just got my camaro 6 weeks ago . Glad to see there is a HUGE community out here for this car. I am up in Canada and just wondering if the HUD can be shipped up here? Or is there someone in Canada that also sells it? I couldn't afford the 2LT. Thing is made 65 miles from where I live and costs $7K more than in the States, what I paid for my 1LT is what you guys in the States pay for the 2LT Anyways off my soap box Really glad I found this forum. Looking to do some major mods to my car in the near and distant future and from what I have read here I am not alone in wanting to add that personal touch. I really want to do the HUD

It will fit i have helped a member on here install the 2012 dash on a 2010, there is only one thing you need to do if you have the ABL in the dash now, and that is to drill holes for the LED to go thru the dash it has no extra openings behind the trim.

And do I have to buy any additional pieces I'm getting the one with HUD and center speaker I know I need to get the grill for it (no I don't have Boston acoustics) hoping to add them to. Are the center vents different?

Just shine your 2010 dash up a bit, that really helps, and will save you $400!
