LOL Where is SYR74, I told him the 2010 mustang was only getting a 15 hp increase. Expect the new stang to perform similarly to the 2008 Bullit which means 13.7 in the quarter mile at about 103 mph. 4th gen camaros are still faster!! The new stang V8 only has a 35lb wieght increase. lol

Obviously Ford isn't going to bother with anything more if it's getting a complete overhaul in 2 model years.

Obviously, it needed a complete overhaul years ago, not wait until 2012.

But I know what you're saying.

Don't look now, but your bias is showing.
In all seriousness, I'm not a big fan of the reworked body but the interior is a little better that the current version. I still prefer the '05-'09 body, however, over this one.

As for the S197 Mustags being ugly in the outside, you really are reaching. If it were not for Ford going "retro" with the new Mustang, I doubt you would see a Challenger or, gasp, the Camaro as you have it now. There is a reason Ford drew its inspiration from the '60's; because those cars sold like hotcakes and are still considered the most desirable (and beautiful) pony car they ever built.

Now why would GM choose to take the same route as Ford and Dodge and create a new Camaro based on the classic bodystyle? Maybe because they know that is what will sell and compete with the other brands. (And I'm speaking in terms of sales, not performance.)

Holden did it right with the new Camaro, for the most part, which is why I plan to put one in the garage next to the GT500 in a year or so.

the interior is nicer, the body is improved, but looking at it dead on the hood and grill reminds me of the masterchief's helmet/visor from halo???

It's better than I thought it would be. Those teaser shots weren't very flattering, but seeing the whole package together, it looks quite good. The rear end and its forward tilt is a bit strange, but I think I'll get used to it.

My only complaint about the interior is the big slab on the center dash. It and everything in it screams "parts bin." Other than that, it all comes together pretty well inside.

This segment is definitely going to be interesting to watch.

I agree I never liked the looks of the previous mustang. My friend has one there nice but it looks cheap on the outside but now it looks sick except for tha antenna in the back, its a sick car.

I have always hated those big fog lights on the Mustang. I think the pony package fog's look good, however, or none at all.
