flywheel to lsx

looking at an upgrade to my power plant (lsx 454) but it has 8 bolt pattern in the crank. My flywheel will not fit, is there any fix???? Does someone make a flywheel to fit my 6 speed so I can use the single disc set up? I think the factory set up should hold up.

I think Katech makes one, if you dont find one let me know. We've thought about making 8 bolt flywheels for the newer engines, several people have asked us to but back then there just want much demand.
We used make all the flywheels for Monster clutch company so we have lots of experience machining billet flywheels.

Thanks
Chris

I will tell u ,with the 454 lsx the stock clutch will not hold .I have the 454 lsx in my car and we have the flywheels, give me a call .we've been aproached by other companies to make there flywheels after the problems they encountered with another company but we only use our flywheels with our clutches.I would bet we could get u in a great twin for the price you will pay for a custom flywheel and a Su.glen disc clutch .give us a call and ill take care of ya

We can but I'd rather you buy one from a reputable company that has them on the shelf like Katech. We can tool back up and start making them, that's not a problem but it would have to be a production run.
making one off parts can get very expensive and would be much cheaper to buy off the shelf.
We just couldnt keep up with 200 flywheels a month from Monster so we both decided to hand it over to a much larger machine shop.

Thanks
Chris

Or give Monster Clutch a call, I bet they can hook you up with one. I've talked to them before about them.

I'd give them another call, I'm sure they are as busy as we are and our phone rings non stop all day. It's very easy to miss calls and overlook messages.

Thanks
Chris

So you had the factory clutch installed with the LSX454? How did it hold up to the motor, I mean was it slipping in a gear after changing gears? What problem came up?
