Meth and more boost?
Thinking about putting my car on meth and making it dependent on it. Is it safe to up the boost this way? Run about 7 on low boost and 10 is my high boost setting on 93 octane. 12 or 14 safe on meth? AGP 56/57 .82 AR. Stock L99.

Why do you want to be meth dependent? What's your fuel setup?

Maybe it’s the way you posed your question, but I’m going with no on this one. If you have a handheld or a laptop you can use with proper software, you can change tunes specifically for track periods. You can increase boost that way if it’s tuned properly for meth. But to have a street tune depending on meth, nah...

Not a Daily Driver. On 100% Meth Inj here at an easy 13 lbs on Street with a Conservative Tune. Have a number of "failsafes" ( that said don't think anything is 100% Failsafe) built in with the System and a 4gal tank. Alky Control Dual Nozzle Progressive. Have never come close to running out. Now with an Aggressive Dependent Tune and the small Windshield Washer Fluid Reservoir type tank Different story. The plan is to add on E85 when decent quality shows up closer to the Neighborhood. For now fine as it is.

E85 is the plan sooner or later but probably next summer or after. It cost way to much to convert right now as I have zl1 pump and only 850cc injectors. It's a weekend warrior and planned to due the alky control setup from jdp with 4 gallon tank the fail safes. From my understanding with these in place itll just fall on its face and should be okay? Also meth wont get sprayed until 4psi so it will drive just fine even if I do run out of meth. I figured 10 pounds is pushing it on 93 so with meth being sprayed if I could safely up it to 12. I do have a boost controller so I will not be running 12 all the time that would be the I just got beat by a car or so let's see if 12 can get the win on the next run. Sry if I worded it wrong and hopefully this clears some questions up. Thanks guys for the responses and keep them coming.

Doesn't sound like your car would actually be meth dependent then. Sounds like you would mostly be using it to reduce IAT'S. I used to have ADM or CTS-V duel pumps which flow a tad bit more than a ZL1 pump and FIC 1000cc injectors. I was able to make 815 rwhp @ 16.5 psi on 93+meth. I typically ran the car at 15 psi though which was more like 770 rwhp. I ran the car like this for about 1.5 yrs before upgrading fuel system. Prior to turbos I had an ECS supercharger kit and ran about 750 rwhp @12 psi for about 3 yrs on 93 + meth. So yes it is possible.

For me, I'm installing meth for one primary reason - control IAT2s while road racing. I'm already flex fuel/E85.
My IAT2 are well managed as I have a 3 hxs, dual intercooler pumps, and a Roush reservoir. I'm adding it as it gets hot here in Texas and I want extra protection. I will have 2 tunes though just to see what I get with E85 and meth. For road racing, it will be only for cooling. I have a 2.45 grip tech, ported blower and snout, 18% lower, DSX aux pump and flex fuel kit. 14 PSI and the setup breaths well... I recently added an RPM 5" intake and NW 102 - have not been to the dyno yet to see what those changes did... BTW stock 6L80 trans with deep pan, suv filter and TruCool's biggest trans cooler. On the hottest day, nothing over 180° -Don

I run a lpe twin pump(cts-v pump) with a msd bap and aug 850cc injectors without any issue, rather than spend money on a meth set up I would contact Agp and ask them about there fuel system, they are priced very well
